Steps
Take a large dish and add the cubed chicken pieces to it. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then set it aside.
Place a large heavy - bottomed pan or Dutch oven over medium - high heat. Add the butter and let it melt completely.
Add the chicken pieces to the pan and cook them until they start to turn brown on the outside.
Add the onion to the pan and cook it until it becomes transparent. Then, add the garlic and cook until it releases a fragrant aroma, about 30 seconds.
Add the tomato sauce and the ketchup to the pan. Let the mixture come to a simmer and then let it simmer for 2 - 3 minutes.
Add the cream to the pan and let it simmer uncovered for 5 minutes. After that, your Brazilian Chicken Stroganoff is ready to serve!

Serve the Brazilian Chicken Stroganoff with Brazilian white rice.
You can also serve it with potato sticks.
